Chinese queue for iPad2 in NY Apple store
THE launch of the blockbuster iPad2 tablet computer has attracted throngs of Chinese to Apple Inc's flagship store in New York City, hoping to resell their trophies at higher prices back in China.
A photo showing Chinese men and women carrying bags bulging with the latest tablets and other hot-selling Apple devices from the store on the Fifth Avenue has circulated online, Beijing Morning Post reported today.
Chinese resellers hired groups of people to buy iPad2 due to Apple's policy that restricts one buyer to purchase only two tablets.
The newspaper cited one reseller as saying they would soon ship the devices to China for eager customers who are expected to wait for a long time as the country is not on Apple's initial launch list.
