Chinese ships on Diaoyu patrol
FOUR Chinese marine surveillance ships patrolled in waters off the Diaoyu Islands yesterday, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
China is strongly dissatisfied with and firmly opposes Japan's illegal entrance into waters off the Diaoyu Islands and is keeping high vigilance to their intention and purpose, spokesman Hong Lei told a regular press briefing. Provocation of this kind will make the situation more complicated, he said.
The patrol team are carrying out normal rights-safeguarding activities, the State Oceanic Administration said.
