Chinese student's family pay tribute
THE family of a Chinese student killed in a Montreal murder that shocked the world remembered their son yesterday as the pride of their family and promised to set up a fund to help troubled youth in the Canadian city.
Speaking after a short funeral service for Lin Jun, his mother Du Zhigui said her son's ashes will be buried in Montreal, because he "loves this place so much."
Lin, 32, was killed in May and his severed hands and feet mailed to political parties in Ottawa and schools in Vancouver.
German police arrested porn actor Luka Rocco Magnotta, who last month denied murder and other charges.
