Chinese travel agencies make emergency plans for tourists stranded in Paris
TRAVEL agencies in China have launched an emergency contingency plans after Friday's Paris attacks that left over 100 dead.
Some of the agencies have promised a full refund on already booked tour packages.
Online travel site Ctrip said it has about 400 Chinese tourists in Paris with over 90 percent in tour groups. The travel operator said so far there are no reports of any casualties.
Ctrip has already called tourists suggesting they either cancel or adjust already booked tours for Paris before November 21. So far, it has offered a full refund to more than 200 tourists.
It also announced that tourists who have booked accommodation in France on its website will be able to cancel their bookings and will get a full refund.
Mafengwo, another travel website, has also offered a full refund for tourists who booked self-guided trips to Paris with it.
It also urged its 1,557 tourists who are in France to take full precaution.
Shanghai Spring Tour said it has 167 tourists who were scheduled to fly to France between today and the end of November and will watch the developments and make necessary adjustments.
Lvmama, a travel site which has 450 tourists in France, has called its travelers to avoid going outside.
