A Chinese vessel rescued 29 people off Papua New Guinea's east coast after a ferry with over 300 passengers sank yesterday, the China Maritime Search and Rescue Center said.
The vessel "Zhonghe" spotted the sinking ferry while sailing from Australia to China's Ningbo Port. Ministry officials immediately ordered the ship to help rescue the ferry's passengers.
