CHONGQING'S Metro authority has installed X-ray scanners and bomb detectors at 11 stations as part of the municipality's effort to tighten security during the National Day holiday.
Liquid monitors were also put into use, and 20 additional police officers and three sniffer dogs went on duty. Chongqing police yesterday destroyed 3,378 guns seized in a citywide crackdown.
