Chongqing official probed for porn video

A government official in Chongqing Municipality in western China was suspended from his position after he was identified as the naked man sleeping with a young woman in a video and photos that circulated on the Internet.
Lei Zhengfu, the Party secretary of the city's Beibei District, is the man caught by a hidden camera and the video and photos are genuine, the Municipal Information Office said today.
Chongqing's disciplinary authorities have begun to probe into the case, the office said.
Ji Xuguang, an investigative reporter, accused the 54-year-old official of keeping an 18-year-old mistress named Zhao Xiaoxue and having her detained for 30 days after his porn video and photos leaked to the Internet.
Zhao secretly filmed the video after they quarreled in early 2007, Ji said on Weibo.com.
The chubby official denied the accusations in an earlier interview with China News Agency and said, "Don't believe it. They are all fakes. Just leave it (the case) alone."
The government information office said the allegation report didn't come from an anonymous source and authorities promised to handle the case according to law.
