ONE of the top stars caught in a celebrity sex photo scandal last year launched her comeback yesterday, trying to salvage a career badly damaged by images of her performing sex acts with an actor.
In her first endorsement deal since the scandal, Gillian Chung of the Hong Kong female pop duo Twins attended a press conference yesterday to promote a jeans brand.
With shoulder-length permed hair, the 28-year-old actress wore a purple T-shirt that said "tough." She unveiled a billboard ad that showed her with a serious expression, surrounded by models who wore masks of monsters.
"This was a very long year. It was very hard to get through it. I was lucky to have many people who supported me," Chung said.
Photos of Chung and other stars performing sex acts with actor Edison Chen were leaked on to the Internet.
