Cops detained for torturing a murder suspect to death

TWO police officers were detained for extorting confession by torture after a murder suspect in northwest Gansu Province died suddenly during police grill on April 1, Jinghua Times reported today.
Police of Xihe County claimed the suspect He Yong suffered a heart attack in the police station on the afternoon of April 1 and died in the hospital that night. But the victim's uncle He Jinku told the newspaper that he saw evidence of torture in the body of his nephew.
He's mother said on Saturday that they hadn't got an autopsy report from the hospital because Xihe County government requested to cremate the body first.
The prosecutors of Gansu Province have begun to probe into the case.
