Crackdown on cult
POLICE in northwest China's Qinghai Province have detained more than 400 members of the "Almighty God" cult, pushing the national total to about 500.
They also said they had seized banners, books, leaflets, dvds, computers, printers and loudspeakers that the members were using to spread doomsday rumors.
The cult is also said to be calling for a "decisive battle" to kill the "Red Dragon" - the Communist Party.
