Ctrip online booking site offers some perks

ONLINE travel agency Ctrip today launched China's first online ticket booking platform for destinations around the world.
People can book tickets for over 3,000 domestic sightseeing spots and major overseas attractions in about 30 countries and regions, such as Disneyland in Hong Kong and Tokyo and the Empire State Building in New York City.
By booking tickets on http://vacations.ctrip.com/tickets, visitors can also enjoy a 20 percent ticket discount on average, said Sun Jie, chief executive officer of Ctrip.com, at a press conference today.
Furthermore, they can enter the parks and museums without waiting in the line by showing confirmation codes on their mobile phones.
Visitors to Beijing's Palace Museum, for instance, can show their identity cards to enter the museum after booking on the website, Sun said.
Ctrip also plans to establish a one-stop website where visitors can book flight tickets, hotels and tickets for tourist spots, said Chen Min, general manager of Ctrip Travel.
