Dad detained after impregnating his daughter, 14

A man who admitted he raped and impregnated his 14-year-old daughter – who then died after giving birth at home -- has been detained by police in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, local police said.
The girl died from excessive bleeding after giving birth to a girl at home in Nanzheng County on July 28, local news portal cnwest.com reported today.
The man told police that it was the second time the girl got pregnant. The girl aborted their first child, he said.
The girl’s uncle said her mother was mentally ill and her father worked in remote China’s Xinjiang Urumqi Autonomous Region. She quit school in third grade.
Government officials from Xiangshui Town said they would take care of the newborn baby
