Death toll from road accident rises to 11 in Guangdong
THE death toll in an expressway accident in south China's Guangdong Province rose to 11 after two more bodies were found at the scene yesterday evening, an official with the provincial government said today.
Twenty-one people who were injured, including three seriously injured, were still in hospital, said the official with the emergency management office of Guangdong provincial government.
The accident occurred at around 3pm yesterday when a trailer collided head-on with a coach on an expressway near Huizhou city, instantly killing ten passengers, including two children, on the coach.
Another seriously injured person died at 9:50pm yesterday in hospital after treatment failed.
