Death toll of fireworks plant blast rises to 5

THE death toll of a fireworks plant explosion in central China’s Hunan Province has risen to five as two missing bodies were found, the local government said yesterday.

Five have been killed and one injured after a blast happened at the fireworks plant in Linli County around 2pm on May 16.

As of 7pm yesterday, the explosion site has been cleaned up and hidden risks eliminated, county government said.

The legal person of the fireworks plant has been placed under control by police pending further investigation.
