The deputy head of China's authority in charge of public petitions is under investigation, according to the country's anti-corruption watchdog today.

Xu Jie, deputy chief of the State Bureau for Letters and Calls, is under investigation for serious law and discipline violations, said a statement from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China.
