Detention house chief took out detainees for sex

THE vice director of a detention house in eastern China's Jiangsu Province took out two detainees to see prostitutes.
The official identified as Hua, vice director of the Jiangdu City Detention House, has been jailed to 18 months, today's Shanghai Morning Post reported.
Hua's friends, surnamed Huang and Guo, were detained in the house in September last year. Upon their requests, Hua drove them to nearby Yangzhou city on the night of October 4 to go to a bathing center.
Both Huang and Guo demanded prostitutes, Guo told the Jianye District People's Court in Jiangsu's capital Nanjing City where he was tried, but he was not sure whether they had sex because he was waiting in another room.
Hua paid all the expenses and drove the pair back to the detention house.
The expenses were not specified in court but according to neighbors it costs about 158 yuan (US$23) for a prostitute in the center.
A rival of Huang and Guo reported it to a higher supervisory body and an investigation was launched. It was found the bathing center trip wasn't the only favor Hua did for the pair.
A day before the trip to the bathing center, Huang and Guo got Hua to bring two prostitutes to the detention house so they could have sex with them in the interrogation rooms.
In mid-September, Hua took Huang and Guo's girlfriends to the detention house so they could have sex.
In both cases, Hua kept a look-out outside the interrogation rooms.
Huang and Guo gave Hua 20 cartons of cigarettes for his help, and there was no proof money had been exchanged, the court said.
