Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met Nong Duc Manh, general-secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Communist Party, in Hanoi yesterday morning to exchange views on bilateral ties and issues of common concern.
Wen said both countries had acquired precious experience from the successful settlement of their differences on their land border dispute and the Beibu Gulf.
Manh expressed confidence that both sides could resolve their differences.
Wen arrived in Shanghai last night after wrapping up his trip to Vietnam.
