Dike burst inundates farmlands in Hubei with 34,000 villagers evacuated

ABOUT 34,000 people have been evacuated after a dike breached in central China's Hubei Province this morning, Xinhua News Agency reported.
The burst was reported at 8:30am on the dike along a tributary of the Hanjiang River in Tianmen city, in Hubei Province. The breach is still enlarging, Xinhua reported. The water has inundated the nearby farmlands.
