Divorce hearing turns into murder

ONE woman died and another was seriously injured when a couple came to blows before their divorce hearing in Yunnan Province.
Deng Jiaxi and his wife, Yang Changmei, quarreled outside the Baiyi Court of Songming County People's Court in Kunming, a Kunming-based newspaper reported yesterday.
Deng grabbed a scythe from his car and attacked Yang, slashing her on the chest as Yang's sister-in-law, Zhang Liping, tried to stop him. Deng then lashed out at Zhang.
Zhang died in hospital, Yang is in a critical condition.
After the attack, Deng threw down the scythe and fled. Police investigations are continuing.
