Doctor beaten to death

A DOCTOR was bludgeoned to death at a hospital in northeast China yesterday, China Central Television reported.
Sun Dongtao was working in the ear, nose and throat department of a hospital affiliated with state-owned Beiman Special Steel Co Ltd in Heilongjiang Province’s Qiqiha’er City when a man hit him over the head repeatedly with a 50-centimeter iron bar at about 10am.
Sun was declared dead despite emergency treatment, reported CCTV.
The suspect, surnamed Qi, had gone to the hospital with a nasal problem before the Spring Festival, police said.
Officers said Qi had not been happy with Sun’s diagnosis.
