Donations helps injured boy recover
A three-year-old boy in central China's Henan Province who suffered a severe head injury in a bad fall when trying to help her mentally-challenged mom is recovering thanks to public donations.
Doctors said today the boy, Zhang Haorui, is in stable condition after having two operations at the First Affliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University in Zhengzhou City, the provincial capital.
The hospital will have further observation of Zhang's head injury and lung inflammation, the chief doctor Sun Rongqing told the local Dahe Daily today.
The boy was rushed to hospital on September 26 after he slipped on a corn and fell down to the ground floor from upstairs as he tried to stop his mentally-challenged mother from going upstairs, where his father has kept the cornhusker machine and warned them to stay away of the machine.
