Dorm guard stabs woman 110 times as rape failed

A company dormitory security guard stabbed a young woman to death after she resisted his rape attempt. A forensic test showed the man had stabbed the victim 110 times, Huashang News reported today.
The killer surnamed Xie, 19, was the security guard of a company in Xiangyang City, Hubei Province. On the morning of January 16, Xie decided to steal some money in the dormitory building he was guarding and climbed to the fifth floor where he found an open door and saw the 25-year-old victim, Xiao Qian, sitting on her bed in pajama.
Xie entered her room and tried to rape her. Xiao Qian struggled hard and yelled for help. Fearing to attract others, Xie took out a knife and stabbed Xiao Qian in the neck and torso.
He didn't stop until the woman stopped breathing. Forensic expert counted 110 knife wounds in her body, more than 40 of them in her abdomen.
Xie has been indicted by the prosecutors and a verdict will be announced soon.
