A PROLONGED drought has left 240,000 people and 110,000 livestock without adequate drinking water in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, authorities said yesterday. Local governments have been sending water trucks to villages suffering severe shortages, said a spokesman, citing lack of rains since August last year.
