Drowning of 2 children to be investigated

AUTHORITIES in Lingshi County, Shanxi Province, are investigating claims that paramedics refused to help two children who drowned.
The county government said it has asked related departments to carry out an investigation and will release the results to the public later.
The announcement was made in response to complaints by netizens, one of whom claimed two students drowned on Sunday while medics from an ambulance parked 500 meters away refused to help. The medics are said to have claimed they were on standby for the national college entrance examination.
