A COURT in north Shanxi Province has sentenced five people to death and two others to death with a two-year reprieve on charges of drug trafficking. The Intermediate People's Court in Taiyuan has convicted the seven in relation to 15 drug cases, in which 6 kilograms of drugs, mainly heroin, was involved, the court said yesterday. They were caught last October after buying heroin in Yunnan Province and swallowing it to transport it. Two other body packers died from drug poisoning, the court said.
