Family hacked to death
FIVE family members were found hacked to death on Friday in Weining County, Guizhou Province, police said yesterday.
Police found the bodies of Deng Zhaoxiang, 40, and his four children, two girls and two boys aged between six and 11, after residents in Lushan Village reported their deaths at 11:15pm on Friday, a police spokesman surnamed Teng said.
Deng was killed outside the door of their home, while the children were slain in bed, Teng added.
Police have identified a suspect, but the investigation is ongoing and the motivation behind the killing spree remains unclear, officers said.
Teng said the suspect was at large.
