Famous power boat race to be held in Ningbo

An internationally famous motor boat racing competition will be held in Novermber in Meishan District in neighboring Ningbo City, the organizer announced in Shanghai yesterday.
The 2013 World X-CAT Motor Boat Championship will be held between November 8 and 10 in the harbor of the Meishan Tariff-free Zone.
Competitors from over 10 countries including Italy and the United Arab Emirates will take part in the competition.
X-CAT boats are multi-hull vessels made with advanced carbon technology and two outboard engines with up to 6,000cc of horse power, capable of reaching speeds of 193kph. The minimum length allowed is 7.6 meters and the maximum 10 meters.
