Fatal accident leads to suspension

A SENIOR official in Zhejiang Province has been suspended after the police car he was driving on Saturday night collided with a woman cyclist, killing her.
Jinhua City's disciplinary authority yesterday suspended Wang Jiansi, the vice governor of Wuyi County, Xinhua news agency reported today.
Wang was driving a police car home at 21.40 on Saturday when he collided with cyclist Zhang Shufei. Zhang, 50, was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital.
Jinhua's disciplinary authority decided to suspend Wang after an inquiry.
Investigations are continuing.
