Father injures 6 kids with screwdriver in S. China kindergarten attack

Six children were slightly injured this morning after a man attacked them with a screwdriver at a kindergarten in Guangzhou, capital city of Guangdong Province, police said.

The 38-year-old Guangzhou native, surnamed Xu, was identified as the father of one of the students at the kindergarten, police said.

Xu was taking his son to kindergarten and started telling others that his son was bullied before starting the sudden attack, according to police.

Police said the six victims sustained minor wounds and had been treated in a hospital.

Xu was caught at the scene and police said they are still investigating the case.
