Father suspected of beating his son, burying him alive
A father in Yunnan Province was detained for allegedly beating his son and burying him alive over daily quibbles, Yunnan.cn reported yesterday.
The suspect, surnamed Li, killed his six-year-old son because the boy did not do his homework, the report said.
Li kicked his son in the chest and threw him against the wall. When the boy did not get up, Li hit him on the head with a rock and the boy passed out, according to the website.
Rather than take his son to a hospital, Li buried him on a hill, the report said.
Li's three other children witnessed the violence and were threatened not to tell anyone about it. They are currently staying with their grandparents and need psychological counseling, according to the report.
