Fewer items will need approval

Further efforts will be made to build a streamlined administration by exempting more items from central government approval. More than 200 items requiring review and the approval of the State Council will be canceled or delegated to lower-level governments. Premier Li called administrative reform a “revolution the government imposes on itself” and marked a commitment to reduce government intervention in the market.
