Final Fantasy movie to be introduced to China
THE game-inspired CG fantasy film "Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV" will be introduced to China, officials from SMG Pictures said today.
The blockbuster fantasy movie directed by Takeshi Nozue tells a story that takes place in the land of Lucis during the prince's absence. Soldiers on Lucis have to protect the kingdom from their enemy's plans to steal the sacred crystal.
Since its debut in 1987, the Final Fantasy game has been popular among generations of people. In 2001, "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within," the first installment of the film franchise was produced and it received hails from both game and film enthusiasts.
The latest CG techniques are incorporated into the film to present visually stunning scenes. It will also vie for the 89th Academy Awards next month. It will be released in China this year, but the date is yet to be decided.
