Fire kills nine

NINE people were confirmed dead and six others injured after a farm produce market caught fire yesterday in northeast China's Jilin Province, according to local government sources.
The fire started about 9am in a wholesale market in the province's Meihekou City, spreading quickly through the stalls. All of the injured have been hospitalized. The fire was put out about 10:30am, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
