Fireworks accident

AROUND 100 people were injured by fireworks last night in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, while watching a display in the bleachers. Five of the injured remained in hospital for further observation last night, while the others had been allowed to go home, said the city government, which organized the event as part of the West Lake International Expo. The organizer said the accident may have been caused by the inappropriate handling of the pyrotechnics, and apologized for the incident. The fireworks show lasted 40 minutes.
