Fishermen home next week
CHINESE fishermen detained in Palau are expected to be heading home next Wednesday under an agreement with the Pacific island nation's government which was ratified yesterday.
A Chinese fisherman was killed by Palau police in an incident involving suspected illegal fishing late last month and another 25 had been held in Palau since March 31.
Palau marine officials claimed the killing was an accident.
