Five dead in 7.0-magnitude earthquake in SW China
At least five people have been confirmed dead as of 10:20 a.m. Saturday in the 7.0-magnitude earthquake in southwest China's Sichuan Province, the provincial seismological bureau said.
Meanwhile, more than 100 casualties have been reported by the government of Lushan county.
The 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit south China's Sichuan Province on 8:02 a.m. Saturday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter, with a depth of 13 km, was monitored at 30.3 degrees north latitude and 103.0 degrees east longitude.
Residents in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan, and Leshan felt the earthquake.
