Five retrieved in SW China colliery cave-in

FIVER miners were confirmed dead today in a colliery cave-in accident in southwest China's Chongqing, rescuers said.

Their bodies were retrieved early today in the Dongsheng colliery in Nanchuan District of the municipality after a roof collapse occurred at 3:45pm Friday in the mine and buried the five workers.

The privately owned coal mine is licensed and produces 150,000 tonnes of coal a year.
