TWENTY-THREE flights destined for Dalian City, Liaoning Province, had to be diverted to alternative airports or return to their departure points on Friday as a kite was noticed hovering at Dalian airport. The kite was spotted at about 4:20pm and planes were not given permission to land until about 9:30pm, when the kite flew out of the airport's air space. Police failed to track the kite flyer.
