Food thief critical of homemade salty pork

A HOUSEWIFE in a small village was criticized by a thief for using too much salt in her homemade preserved pork.

The woman surnamed Ding was told in a note left by the burglar that her pork was good last year but this year it was too salty, Qianjiang Evening News reported yesterday. The thief even suggested using less salt next year.

Ding, who lives in a small village in Wenzhou City of Zhejiang Province, had hung several kilograms of preserved pork on the second floor balcony before going out with her husband last month.

The pork was gone when they returned home.

Ding found the note under the door two days later.

"I got angry when I read it," Ding told the newspaper.

"It means the same thief has stolen our pork."

A neighbor suggested Ding use extra salt next year to teach the thief a lesson.
