Foreign architect's death in south China not foul play: police
Police have ruled out the possibility of foul play in the death of a foreign architect whose body was retrieved two days after he went missing in south China's Guangdong Province.
Damian Carroll reportedly went missing on Aug. 28 while exploring Wushantou Hill near Daya Bay in the city of Huizhou, according to a spokesman from the Daya Bay Development Zone.
Some 1,150 rescuers, divided into eight teams, conducted a two-day search for the man, and his body was found in bush halfway up the hill yesterday, according to local police.
Local authorities have not revealed Carroll's nationality, and further investigation into the cause of death is under way.
