Foreign ministry hits back at ‘troublemaker’ Japan
China has labeled Japan a “troublemaker” damaging regional peace and stability.
Foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying was responding to comments by Japan’s Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida about China’s military expansion being a concern.
Hua told reporters that China’s military posture is purely defensive. Japan was stirring up trouble with its own moves to expand its forces and alter its pacifist constitution.
She said Japanese officials were making inflammatory statements aimed at denying or glorifying its militarist past.
