Former political advisor gets suspended death for graft

The former vice chairman of Hangzhou's political advisory body was sentenced to death with two-year reprieve for graft yesterday.

Wu Zhenghu, the former vice chairman of Hangzhou Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, was found taking 16 million yuan (US$2.5 million) bribes when he was the director of Hangzhou No. 4 People's Hospital and No. 2 People's Hospital from 2000 to 2010, Procuratorial Daily reported today.
