Former top official of Anhui in Party discipline probe
THE former deputy director of east China's Anhui Province is being investigated for serious violations of Party discipline, China's top disciplinary watchdog has said.
Ni Fake, 59, a native of Jiangsu Province, began his career in Anhui in 1970 and joined the Communist Party of China in 1973.
He held senior positions in local agricultural authorities before being promoted to Party chief in Nanling County in 1992, official data showed.
Ni was deputy mayor and later deputy Party chief in Wuhu City between 1994 and 1998.
He became the Party chief in Liu'an City in 2002.
In January, 2008, he was promoted to deputy provincial head.
