Former top prosecutor leaps to his death
A FORMER top procurator in a south China city leaped from his former office to his death this morning.
Liu Xianjin, 49, former chief procurator of Maoming City Procuratorate Office in Guangdong Province, jumped around 5am from Zhanjiang City Public Security Bureau where he had worked as its vice director for more than 10 years, today's Yangcheng Evening News reported.
Liu was removed from his post last year and planned a new job this year at his hometown in Zhanjiang as a policy advisor, the newspaper cited a close source to Liu as saying.
Zhanjiang government said Liu committed suicide because he had been suffering depression over poor health.
