Four Xinjiang terrorists get death for July attacks
FOUR people involved in two deadly terrorist attacks in July in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region have been sentenced to death, according to tianshannet.com, a website based in Xinjiang, yesterday.
Intermediate people's courts of Hotan and Kashgar on Tuesday respectively found the accused guilty of masterminding and engaging in terrorist organizations, illegally making explosives, murder and arson, said a report published on the website yesterday.
Two accomplices of them were each sentenced 19 years in jail, said the report.
On July 18, several rioters attacked a police station in Hotan City, killing four people and injuring four.
Two separated attacks on July 30 and July 31 in Kashgar left a total of 13 people dead and 44 others injured.
