Frugal courts drive
CHINA’S Supreme People’s Court (SPC) will check training facilities used by courts nationwide to make sure they are not too lavish or being used to host extravagant activities, it said yesterday. It issued a circular vowing punishment for extravagance and urging courts to rectify irregularities in construction, operation and financing of their training facilities. The SPC circular ordered courts at all levels to finish self-checks of such training facilities before September 10.
