Gambler kills 4 after losing cash

A MAN who allegedly lost his money in gambling went on a rampage and killed four people and injured 20 others early yesterday in Fangxian County, Hubei Province, the Southern Metropolis Daily reported.
A witness told the paper that the man had lost money and took revenge on his gambling partner by killing his wife and 8-year-old daughter. He then got hold of a knife and killed another girl and an old woman on the street. He then stole a car and ran over 20 people.
Police identified the man as 34-year-old Deng Zhongkun of Fangxian village. Police said Deng was trying to escape in the car when he was held.
The Beijing Times reported that Deng first attacked two people with a knife at 6am yesterday and alerted the police himself. He then rushed to the street with a knife and killed two others. He then hijacked a black car and ran over pedestrians.
