Game on in the fight against graft ...
An online game in which players can zap corrupt officials with a stun gun has been launched by the People’s Daily newspaper.
At http://t.people.com.cn/g/datanfu, you can take aim at cartoon figures of corrupt officials who pop up on the screen. Hit one and you win 100 points.
But watch out for the police officers. Zapping one of these by mistake loses you 100 points.
Different cartoon images represent different corrupt practices.
Some show off their cash, indicating embezzlement of public funds; some hold seals, hinting at misuse of authority; some have saliva dripping from their mouths and heart shapes for eyes, meaning they keep mistresses, while others carry gift bags.
Police officers carry handcuffs, indicating their readiness to bring officials to justice.
