Gang convicted for selling national exam answers
A vocational junior college student was sentenced to one year in prison with an 18-month reprieve for selling answers to students who sat in the National College Entrance Exams in 2011.
The student surnamed Gao was convicted of stealing state secrets. His six partners also received jail terms or were punished with detention, a court in Minqin County, northwest Gansu Province said.
The gang bought the answers from the Internet and sold them 16 students who wore beep pagers to get text messages. They were caught on the second day of the three-day exams in June 2011, the court said.
Some of the answers they sent out were found to be correct, China National Radio reported today.
