Gansu police seizes bank robber who killed 2 clerks

A bank robber was captured yesterday in northwest China's Gansu Province 54 hours after he killed two bank clerks and made away with over 53,000 yuan in cash, China News Service reported today.

Police in Tianshui City said they caught the 38-year-old suspect, Fu Rong, at about 5pm yesterday. Fu allegedly robbed a bank in the city's Qinzhou District on the noon of June 19 and slain two bank clerks with a knife. He fled the scene with more than 53,000 yuan of cash.

Police said investigation was continuing and the details of the robbery were not immediately available.
